What is a hoverboard?
Hoverboards have recently become a very huge phenomenon within the technology world as well as the transportation world; many people may have heard of hoverboards or know that they exists but most probably don’t really know what it is.
I assume that when most people think of a hoverboard they think of something like in a science fiction movie such as Back to the Future, which is something that I would have assumed as well up until quite recently when the so called hoverboard really exploded onto the market.
When people hear the word hoverboard it is pretty safe to assume that we picture a futuristic and modern piece of flat metal where the rider stands on top of it and can fly or hover around using an air propulsion system, that being air that pushes the hoverboard upwards.
However this is still a very new area of research and development, with the only real life, actually flying hoverboards being produced by high end technology companies which are only in their earliest stages of development and are nowhere near ready for the public. The only other place hover technology can be found is in the military, but we are here to talk about hoverboards not hover-tanks.
The kinds of hoverboards we are talking about here do in fact have wheels and are unfortunately rooted to the earth; they are like a sideways skateboard with wheels or a hands free Segway that is controlled using the riders feet and weight, some people also refer to them as self-balancing scooters. We are actually here to talk about a special kind of self balancing scooter, that being the self-balancing scooter with Bluetooth capabilities; we’re here to give you some info and reviews about the Bluetooth hoverboard.
For those of us who don’t know what Bluetooth is, it’s a fairly recent mode of wireless technology that is utilized by cell phones, computers, and other electronic devices.
The main function of Bluetooth is to be able to share data and information wirelessly over short lengths of distance between 2 or more electronic devices; such as sending a picture directly from one phone to another without texting or using email. As well many headsets and wireless headphones and microphones use Bluetooth capabilities to maintain their wireless connection with other devices.
As this article is about both hoverboards and Bluetooth it is only safe to assume that we are here to talk about hoverboard Bluetooth technology. Most hoverboards are in fact controlled by the rider’s weight, position, and their feet however what adding Bluetooth capabilities has done for these scooters is very amazing.
Hoverboards are a very new thing and Bluetooth is a fairly new piece of technology as well, both with their own great uses and functions, and it has not been until very recently, like only several months, that creators of hoverboards have actually begun adding Bluetooth to these 2 wheeled personal transportation devices. The Bluetooth scooter can be controlled using a wireless hand held Bluetooth remote to make riding even easier; it’s a lot easier to control a 2 wheel self-balancing scooter with a wireless Bluetooth remote than if it doesn’t have Bluetooth capabilities.
These Bluetooth hoverboards also come with wireless speakers as well which makes riding even more fun when you can blast your tunes while you sip down the road. The wireless Bluetooth remotes also serve functions such as indicating speed as well as battery life. Bluetooth 2 wheel scooters are just the next step up from the original hoverboard and is getting ever closer to the sci-fi inspired hoverboards that actually hover off of the ground.
History of the hoverboard
Just as a quick background story here, the hoverboard has not been around for a very long time and for all intents and purposes, outside of the military or ultra-expensive high end innovative technology companies, flying hoverboards that are available to the public just don’t exist. However what we are talking about here has been around for a few years now.
There have been several start-up companies that have begun making these 2 wheeled self-balancing scooters and the inspiration would seem to come from taking a Segway and removing the handheld pole in the middle, leaving the rider with just the base; if anything the history of the hoverboard can be said to be a mash-up between the Back to the Future style hoverboard, a skateboard, and a Segway. All that being said there isn’t actually too much history behind the hoverboard.
The history is really just in the making right now, especially with the addition of things like Bluetooth capabilities to these already fun and fascinating machines. The Bluetooth hoverboard may not have very much history but if consumer trends and the way of the market tells us anything, it’s that the Bluetooth hoverboard definitely has a very bright future ahead.
Best Bluetooth Hoverboard Reviews
So, we are after all here to review some of these Bluetooth hoverboards that we have been speaking of for the first portion of the article. We have 3 specific hoverboards with Bluetooth capabilities that we are going to review today. Don’t be mistaken though because we’re not here to say that one is better than the other but in fact all 3 of these make for excellent choices. Let us begin with the first review!
The first stop on our Bluetooth hoverboard journey is this fine piece of machinery that is sure to satisfy any rider, this may be in part because Moonet is known for making some really great, quality products that always hit home with the users. One really great thing about the Moonet Two Wheels Smart Self Balancing Scooter is that it weighs only 10 kg or 20 pounds, meaning that even when you don’t want to ride it you can still carry it around with ease or store it in a small space without using too much room.
One thing that does need to be mentioned is that this particular model is not necessarily meant for children as it is somewhat challenging to ride and takes a few days to really get the hang of but it’s really fun once you do!
Another excellent feature is that the battery takes just over an hour to charge and for this little charging time it can actually run for up to 20 km in distance, and the whole time it can go just over 10mph or just over 15 km per hour; it’s fast and can go far! The Moonet Two Wheels Smart Hoverboard with Remote Control is of course also fantastic because like other 2 wheel self-balancing scooters it has special self-balancing technology which ensures that the rider won’t just fall off.
Not only that but it also has a 0 degree turning radius which means it can turn on a dime and it can even go up or down inclines of up to 15 degrees. The LED lights are really convenient too because they provide the rider with a certain amount of safety because the lights illuminate the ground and the obstacles around the hoverboard.
Since we are talking about products with Bluetooth it would have been really weird to mention a product that doesn’t involve it and true to this article this hands free Segway does indeed have Bluetooth capabilities. The Moonet Self Balancing Unicycle Scooter With LED Light comes with a wireless Bluetooth remote that actually lets the rider control the direction and speed of the hoverboard, as well it also informs the user of battery life and other crucial information. The wireless remote control makes it so much easier to ride than other standard hoverboards that are controlled with the feet; it’s like playing X-box or any other video game!
This is the second of 3 Bluetooth hoverboard we will be reviewing today and it is just another fantastic model to use; it’s a transportation device, it’s a tool, a toy, and a speaker too. These hoverboards that have Bluetooth technology are just so much fun to use, not to mention that they are really convenient as a way to get around too!
Like with all of the other hoverboards this model also features self-balancing technology so that the rider can easily learn to ride and maneuver it; it’s meant to be fun and easy! Not only is it fun and easy but it’s pretty safe as well because the LED lights make it so that you can ride the Skque® 8″ Smart Two Wheel Self Balancing Electric Scooter with Bluetooth Speaker during the night as the ground around the hoverboard is lit up. Not only that but this particular 2 wheeled self-balancing scooter can hold up to 120 kg or 250 pounds, as well it can ride for up to 25 km and all this while going at a top speed of 10 km per hour.
All of these things are great but none of them are what makes the Skque® 8″ Smart Two Wheel Self Balancing Scooter really stand out.
What is really amazing about this particular hoverboard is that it has a Bluetooth remote so that it can be controlled with your hands almost like a video game. Not only that but it also has wireless Bluetooth speakers that can connect to any cellphone that has Bluetooth capabilities. This means you can ride around while having fun and listen to your favorite music too! This hoverboard is definitely a great product to get.
This is the final of the 3 Bluetooth hoverboards that we are going to review and it is a fantastic one. To begin, this model is very stylish because the sleek jet black color makes it look very cool and modern, and the red accents only help to improve this great look.
One thing that makes the Andget® 8” Two Wheel Smart Self Balancing Scooter very impressive is that it has big 8 inch wheels and a lift up base that make it possible to drive over rough terrain like gravel, dirt roads, and over grass fields too.
Even more impressive it can hold up to 260 pounds in weight, it can go up to 28 km in distance, and it can do all this while reaching a top speed of 12 km per hour. Perhaps one of the most impressive features is that it can go up or down an incline of 25 degrees; this is really great when considering that most other hoverboards can only go up an incline of 15 degrees or only stay on flat surfaces.
The absolute best part about the Andget Two Wheel Smart Hoverboard with Bluetooth Speaker is that it of course has Bluetooth capabilities.
It has both a remote control as well as speakers. The speakers let you connect your Bluetooth enabled phone to the hoverboard so that you can ride along while playing your favorite music. And the Bluetooth controller lets you steer and operate the hoverboard just like you would steer a car in a racing game; it’s really cool!
Hoverboards are really cool and even though they don’t actually hover like the name promises, they are still very neat none the less. Whether you are looking to get any of the 3 great models we have discussed here today or not, something that you should know is that they all function magnificently.
The Bluetooth capabilities which have been endowed onto these fun and convenient personal transportation devices have made them just that much more innovative and futuristic. Remember, if you are going to get a hoverboard for your pleasure then you may as well maximize your pleasure and get one with a Bluetooth remote and Bluetooth speakers!
